Welcome to my blog.
I am currently composing music for 2 student projects:
The first project is concerned with 2 sequences that poke fun at the way the beauty industry sells products to woman and the claims that woman are willing to believe. They are styled with a 1920's / 30's influence, as this is when beauty advertising first blossomed; the frame rate is inconsistant and too fast, giving the feel that the action is overdramatic and fast paced.
For the second project I am composing music for a student animation. It is about someone living in a completely sterile world/community. The mood starts out as something light and perhaps silly but transforms into something heavy and serious towards the end.
I am still composing with Steve Morgan for mf music. We are composing in a variety of styles at the moment creating some strong tracks. We now have the full East West sample library that includes the Symphonic Choir, Stormdrum and ethnic drums as well as the full orchestra. We also have a number of other sample libraries such as Korg and many mastering plugins. We are continually adding tracks to the mp3 page of my website.
Away from composing I am still teaching saxophone at Pangbourne College and The Abbey School in Reading. I also teach adult education saxophone classes in Surrey and teach saxophone, piano and violin to adults and children in private lessons. I am hoping to play in a saxophone quartet very soon.
